BHUBANESWAR: The Journalist Development Council of India (JDCI) has taken a series of economic, social and professional measures for the overall benefit of journalists across the country.
Taking another step forward, the Council is all set to host the first ever Indian Journalist Congress in Bhubaneswar next year.
More than 2000 journalists from different parts of Odisha, other parts of India and abroad are expected to take part in the Conclave .
The Summit will witness seminars on different topics pertaining to the overall development of journalists, their socio-economic welfare and professional advancement .
Eminent journalists, leaders of journalists’ associations and Wellwishers of Media men from across the Country will attend the proposed Three days long Mega Event in Bhubaneswar in February 2024. A logo depicting the power of journalism was unveiled during the Press Conference at Sambadik Bhawan In Bhubaneswar. The Logo shall henceforth be used by journalists as their identification.
Journalist Congress will be organised in different states and other parts of the country every year on regular basis for the promotion and popularisation of the mottos of JDCI .
Besides, a mascot is also scheduled to be released in the first week of January for the promotion of the ensuing Indian Journalist Congress.
The Indian Journalist Congress will definitely be successful with the active cooperation from all sections of journalists’ fraternity and journalists’ organisations asserted by JDCI Chairman Kishore Dwibedi, President Gopalkrushna Mohapatra, Joint Chairman Bibhuti Bhushan Kar, Secretary General Sanat Mishra, Joint Secretary Pabitra Maharatha, Advisors Sriram Dash, Prashant Patnaik, Pradosh Patnaik, Pitabash Mishra, Pradyumna Mohanty, Treasurer Rajen Choudhary, Finance Secretary Nimain Charan Das, Parthasarathi Jena, Sanatan Dalabehera and Lingaraj Sahoo.
