BHUBANESWAR: In the wake of the death of BJP’s Dhamnagar MLA and Deputy Leader in the Odisha State Assembly, Bishnu Sethi, Speaker Bikram Arukha on Thursday informed Election Commission of India and Chief Electoral Officer about vacancy in the House.
The No-46 Assembly Constituency of Dhamnagar in Bhadak fall vacant in view of the sad demise of BJP’s MLA BC Sethi.
BJP’s Dhamnagar MLA and Deputy Leader in Odisha Assembly, Bishnu Sethi passed away after a pro-long illness on September 19. He was 61. He breathed his last while being treated at the ICU of AIIMS here. Sethi was elected to the Assembly from Dhamnagar constituency in 2019 and Chandbali constituency in 2000.
