BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Received Rs 6358.97 Crore as Coal Royalty during 2019-22, says Union Minister of Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs Shri Pralhad Joshi in a written reply in Lok Sabha on Wednesday.
During 2019-20, Odisha received Rs 2139.45 crore as Coal Royalty while the State got Rs 1519.31 Crore during 2020-21 and Rs 2700.21 crore during 2021-22, Minister Joshi said.
Royalty is paid directly by coal companies to the concerned coal bearing States. Central government has no role in collection of royalty, Joshi added.
