CUTTACK/BHUBANESWAR: On Monday, Odisha Police is happy to commemorate 1000 plasma donations by its Corona Warriors. This noble effort by Odisha Police personnel is one more example of selfless and dedicated service towards the people of Odisha. These plasma donations have played a stellar role in saving precious lives of COVID patients in Odisha and in our fight against Corona.
The journey of Plasma donations by Odisha Police began on 24.07.2020 when two Jawans of OSAP 3rd Bn., Koraput donated Plasma at SCB MC & Hospital, Cuttack. In the meantime officers/ men of almost all Police districts/ establishments have donated Plasma on the call of Hon’ble C.M and DGP, Odisha as shown in the graph.
“We are happy to state that of the 2166 overall plasma donations in Odisha till date, as much as 46% (1002) has been donated by these selfless members of Odisha Police,” DGP Abhay, has commended the Police personnel who have selflessly donated Plasma and saved the lives of other critical Covid patients. They are all being presented a commemorative memento to recognize their effort.
Today, we also remember our 48 corona warriors of Odisha Police who have died in the line of duty. Odisha Police is proud of these great heroes for their noble sacrifice. We thank these 1002 donors who have set an outstanding example of selfless service. This will motivate all other members of Odisha Police to serve the people of Odisha with renewed determination and dedication in days ahead.
