BHUBANESWAR: Lead State BJP’s Delegation, presented memorandum to State Election Commission(SEC) regarding Election Violence,rigging by ruling BJD on First date of Election in various parts like Krushnaprasad,Belpada,Keonjhar,Angul, Bhatli etc.Urged SEC to take strong action, senior BJP leader Sudipta Ray said.
“We submitted a Memorandum to State Election Commissioner today demanding action against today’s poll violence in Alanda Panchayat under Krushnaprasad Block in Puri Dist.There is no place for violence in a democracy. I strongly condemn the violence & anarchy of the ruling party,” BJP Leader from Puri, Upasna Mohapatra said.
5 persons sustained injuries after being allegedly attacked by supporters of a political party at Nisibhanra village under Rahadamala Panchayat in Puri. All injured have been admitted to the local hospital.
Media persons were allegedly attacked by miscreants at a booth in Badala panchayat under Kanas block in Puri district. A clash between two groups disrupted the polling process over stealing ballot paper stamps at booth-1 in Sujanpur Panchayat.
