BHUBANESWAR: On the allegation of possession of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income, simultaneous house searches were launched on the properties of Jagannath Rout, Live Stock Inspector, Kalarahanga, Raghunathpur, Bhubaneswar, on Thursday at 9 places in Khurdha and Cuttack district.
His residential house at Royal Lagoon Apartment, Raghunathpur, Bhubaneswar, two triple-storied building, a double-storied building and a single-storey building at Raghunathpur, a flat No.301 in Green Garden Apartment, Raghunathpur, a Flat No.401 in Royal Arcade, Raghunathpur, an outhouse over plot No.921 at Charigharia, Banki, and office room located at Veterinary Office, Kalarahanga, were searched by nine teams of Vigilance led by five DSPs, 10 Inspectors and other staffs.
During house searches so far, movable and immovable assets worth over Rs 7.21 crore of Rout were traced.Among other things, Rout and his family members are in possession of 91 plots including 81 plots in prime area of Bhubaneswar and 10 plots in Cuttack district. The Registered Sale Deed (RSD) value comes to over Rs 3.33 crore. However, the actual value is likely to be much higher.
