Odisha Government to stop Mining loot in Keonjhar , assures CM Mohan Charan Majhi

KEONJHAR/BHUBANESWAR:   Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday sent a strong message to illegal mining activities in Keonjhar.

CM Majhi while addressing a public meeting at Jhumpura in Keonjhar, said,  many non-Odia and Non-Koenjhar people calling shots in mining areas of the district.

Earlier, CM had claimed that he was offered mining lease and a Cabinet berth by the last Government. ‘Those are eyeing on mines and minerals of Keonjhar and planning to loot illegally , we will be punished . Some dalals are eyeing on mines and minerals, he said.

CM said, the BJP Government will utilise all minerals resources for development of Keonjhar. CM said, DMF has Rs 11,000 Crore, CAMP fund is there and many funds are there , which will be implemented for Keonjhar, he said adding we need strong will power to materialise it.

‘The non odia mine owners can’t further humiliate us  and no mining loot will be allowed from now onwards , he said.  He said, when he raised the matter in Assembly, Government targeted to kill him but escaped, he added.
