BHUBANESWAR: The Chief Minister Mohan Chanran Majhi led Odisha Government has extended the deadline for completing the electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) process for beneficiaries under the National Food Security Act. The new deadline is now set for January 31, providing additional time for compliance.
Initially scheduled to end on January 15, this extension aims to enhance accessibility for beneficiaries. According to Food Supplies Minister Krushna Chandra Patra, only 85 per cent of eligible individuals have completed their e-KYC requirements. More than 5 million beneficiaries have yet to begin this important step.
