BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Government on Wednesday extended partial lockdown restrictions till July 16.The Government extended the Covid-19 night curfew across the State till 6 am of July 16. Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra made an announcement to this effect.
As many as 20 districts with less than 5% test positivity rate (TPR) have been included in Category-A and rest 10 districts, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Puri, Cuttack, Khordha, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Baleswar and Mayurbhanj, in Category-B. All shops except shopping malls and spas would remain open from 6 am to 6 pm in the Category-A districts. Bus services would also be allowed in the Category-A districts, where there would be no weekend shutdown any more. Salons would also be allowed to open in these districts.
In the Category-B districts, all shops except malls and spas would be allowed to open from 6 am to 2 pm. Weekend shutdown would continue in these 10 districts. Bus services are not permitted in these districts. Salons would be allowed to open in the Category-B districts. Educational and religious institutions would continue to remain closed in the State. Besides, the restrictions on weddings and funerals would also continue to be in force.
