BHUBANESWAR/BHAWANIPATNA/PHULABANI: Odisha DGP Abhay flanked by CRPF Special DG Kuldip Singh and with his able team packed with Director (Intelligence), RK Sharma, IGP (Operations) Amitabh Thakur were on Sunday held a brainstorming session and reviewed the coordinated attack carried out by the State Police with additional support of Central Forces against the outlawed CPI(Maoists) cadres, who are on run under South-Western and Southern police ranges headquarters Koraput’s Sunabeda and Ganjam’s Berhampur respectively.
Senior IPS officers engaged in anti-Maoists operations, however informed that due to continuous joint attack, leftwing insurgency related violence are on decline under the Sunabeda Range as DIG Shafeen K Ahamed is leading from the front along with DIG(SOG) Anirudha Singh against the outlawed leftwing ultras in dense forest. The operations is being closely monitored by DGP Abhay along with Director(Intelligence) Sharma and IGP(Operations) Thakur. Under Southern, DIG Satyabrata Bhoi is taking the lead.
