CUTTACK/BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Cricket Association and MGM Minerals Ltd sponsored , Odisha Cricket League OCL 2024, was on Sunday commenced at Cuttack’s Barabati Stadium. Odisha Tigers Registered 10 Runs wins (DLS) against Odisha Lions in the opening match, which was hit by monsoon rains.
Batting first, Odisha Lions had scored 147 losing 7 wickets in stipulated overs while Odisha Tigers scored 100 in 12 overs losing 5 wickets while rains hit the match. As per DLS, victory target was 91 in 12 overs while Tigers already reached the target was declared winners. Odisha Tigers Tukuna Sahoo was adjudged MGM Player of the match.
As many as 6 teams playing in the events which included Odisha Lions, Odisha Tigers, Odisha Jaguars, Odisha Pumas, Odisha Panthers and Odisha Cheetahs.
A total of 33 matches will be played at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. All the matches will be LIVE STREAMED on OCA’s YouTube Channel and FB Page
Pankaj Lochan Mohanty , OCA Senior Vice President and Chairman MGM Minerals Ltd Group , Sanjay Behera Secretary OCA , Prabhat Kumar Bhol , Joint Secretary OCA, Bikash Pradhan , Treasurer and Subrat Behera CEO were among those grace the opening ceremony.
