BHUBANESWAR: Odisha COVID-19 recovery cases are on rise while 10,877 cured against 5124 active of the 16,110. As on Friday morning of the total 16,110 positive cases, 10,877 have been cured so far while active cases are now stands at 5124. With four fresh, the death toll increased to 83 in Odisha. Meanwhile, the toll other than COVID-19 rose to 26 after two COVID patients died due to other ailments.
On Friday , Odisha reported 718 new COVID-19 cases, second single-day hike so far, taking the tally to 16,110 Earlier on July 10, the state had reported highest 755 positive cases. While 479 cases have been reported from different quarantine centres, remaining 239 are local contacts. Contact tracing and followup action is underway.
With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 5124. However, 10,877 patients have recovered in the state so far. In the last 24 hours, 7818 swab samples were tested. So far 3,69,738 COVID-19 tests have been conducted in the state.
The Friday’s fresh cases have been reported from 24 districts: highest from Ganjam (231), Angul (9), Balasore (9), Bargarh (4), Bhadrak (10), Cuttack (32), Dhenkanal (6), Gajapati (21), Jagatsinghpur (16), Jharsuguda (24) Kandhamal (7), Kendrapada (4), Keonjhar (28), Khordha (150), Koraput (27), Malkangiri (54), Mayurbhanj (22), Nabarangpur (1), Nayagarh (13), Puri (9), Rayagada (19), Sambalpur (7), Sonepur (5) and Sundargarh (10).
