BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha Health and Family Welfare Department in its latest report said, at least 377 cases positive found in the State so far till Sunday night including 306 active, 68 cured and 3 dead.Ganjam reported highest 125 including 1 dead followed by Jajpur 60 including 58 active and 2 cured while Khorda in 3rd position with 50 including 32 cured and 16 active and 2 dead.
Boudh district joined the COVID-19 affected districts of Odisha after 3 persons tested positive t. Official sources said all the three persons are Surat returnees and were detected positive for the deadly virus while being at the institutional quarantine.
2 more positive cases were detected in Angul whereas 7 more tested positive in Ganjam district. One more COVID-19 case was detected in Jajpur district and two more persons tested positive for the infection in Puri district.
Official sources added the two fresh cases in Puri district have recent travel history to West Bengal.New cases detected in Angul and Ganjam districts are Surat returnees, the official sources added.
Earlier in the day, four more cases were detected from Jajpur district and six from Bhadrak district.So far, a total of 377 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Odisha, The number of active cases stands at 306. While 68 cured from the infection, three died of the disease. A total of 21 districts of the State have been affected by COVID-19.
