Odisha COVID-19 positive case reaches at 185, death toll at 2

BHUBANESWAR: With 5 positive case from Jagatsinghpur and Ganjam, Odisha’s tally was on Wednesday night reached at 185 earlier Balasore reported 1 positive case. Officials said out of 185, 123 were active, 60 cured and 2 deceased.  Jajpur alone reported 55 positive cases and were mostly West Bengal returnees. The State government deputed a team consisting of Director, Family Welfare and Scientist, RMRC, Bhubaneswar to supervise surveillance and containment measures in the wake of COVID-19 crisis in Ganjam district.

The following team is deputed to the district to supervise the surveillance and containment measures.Dr. Bijay Kumar Panigrahi, Family Welfare, Dr. Jaysingh Khatri, Scientist, RMRC, BhubaneswarIn addition to that, Dean and Principal, MKCG Medical College & Hospital, Berhampur will constitute RRT consisting of a Professor from Pulmonary Medicine/ Medicine Department, a Professor/ Associate Professor of Anaesthesiology Department, a Professor/ Associate Professor of Microbiology Department and two faculty members of Community Medicine Department to strengthen surveillance, contact tracing and testing as well as the medical preparedness.
