BHUBANESWAR: With 3 more, Odisha COVID-19 death toll reached at 77 on Wednesday. The fresh 3 of which 2 belongs to Ganjam and 1 to Bhubaneswar. Earlier on Tuesday, 4 had died. The deceased were identified as a 71-year-old man of Cuttack district who was also suffering from oral cancer, a 71-year-old man of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from blood cancer, an 80-year-old man of Ganjam district who was also suffering from diabetes and heart disease and a 40-year-old woman of Khordha district, the Health and Family Welfare Department said.
Meanwhile, 543 more persons tested positive for the virus on the day, increasing the total tally to 14,280. While 354 cases were reported from quarantine centres, 184 were local contacts.However, a record 609 patients recovered from the disease on Tuesday, taking the total recoveries to 9,864 in the State.
