Odisha Congress observes 130th foundation day of INC

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) on Monday observed 130th foundation day of the Indian National Congress at Congress Bhavan in Odisha Capital.

According to reports, OPCC chief Prasad Harichandan unfurled the Congress flag at its party headquarters in presence of some senior leaders like former Union minister Srikant Jena and Niranjan Patnaik among others.

“The Congress party was established by Umesh Chandra Benarjee and Surendra Nath Benarjee and having with only 72 members from a small building of Gokul Das Tejpal Sanskrit College in Bomaby to fight against British troops,” said OPCC chief Prasad Harichandan.

Attacking the Naveen Patnaik-led BJD government, the Odisha unit of Congress head said we will continue our fight against BJD. Our goal is to tell the people of Odisha about the mismanagement & failed governance of BJD led by Naveen Patnaik.

We will also continue our fight to protect the farmers’ community in the State, Prasad said.
Besides, there are several programmes are also lined up across the state to mark the foundation day of the grand old party.
