Odisha CM thanks land donors for Puri’s development

BHUBANESWAR/PURI: As many as 11 families, who donated land for the development o Puri as a World Heritage City was on Wednesday got huge applaud from Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

Patnaik felicitated the land donors the people should voluntarily come forward to donate land at the package announced by the State Government to develop the Heritage Zone. Those felicitated included families of Sanjukta Samal, Chandrakanti Das, Kumudini Guru, Ramadevi Sharma, Purnachandra Mohanty, Brajakishore Panda, Gadadhar Padhi, Kalijug Gopalchandra Pratihari, Rajakishore Sahoo and Sashibhusan Das.

Patnaik said the people of the State will remember for all time to come the sacrifices made by these 11 families.“I am very happy that you have honoured my request. You have donated land for the safety and security of the Shreemandir. The State will remain indebted for this gesture,” he said on the occasion.Chief Minister Mr.Patnaik said Shreemandir is invaluable property of the Odias.

“Lord Jagannath is the identity of the Odias. Our lives will be contented if we can do something to protect the Shreemandir,” he said adding, the sacrifices of these 11 families will be etched in the memory of the people in the State.
