BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who has been committed supporting the promotion of sports and games across the Country, was Saturday wished the participants of Khelo India University Games, which kicked off. Odisha’s Indoor Stadium in Cuttack and KIIT University Stadium in Bhubaneswar are hosting few events.
Patnaik thanked Government of India, Sports authority of India, Sports Federation, KIIT University and the State Government for organizing the KIUG-2020. KIIT Group Founder and BJD’s Kandhamal Lok Sabha MP Dr Achyut Samant also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Odisha CM Patnaik, Union Sports Minister Kirren Rijju and SAI for their support.
In a twitter message, Patnaik said that student life is one of the most memorable lives and University Student life has its own charm. He said that University Student Life presents a bold, confident, committed competitive and sportive. Khelo India University Games has provided a great platform for all the students to showcase their talent at national level.
He hoped that all the athletes will enjoy comfortable stay in the Sports Loving State. Chief Minister said some of these athletes’ will go away with medal, others experiences and all with a great memory of sportsmanship.He said witnessing sports and sportsman spirit can inspire generation to make our country a Sporting Power House.
