BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday performed ground breaking ceremony for leading Odia industrialist Pankaj Lochan Mohanty led MGM Mineral Ltd Group’s subsidiaries, MGM Biofuels Pvt Ltd and MGM Resorts Pvt Ltd (Hyatt Regency).

MGM Biofuels Pvt Ltd will be come up at Boudh to produce 200 KLPD Ethanol along with 5 MW CoGen Plant with an investment of Rs 225.24 Crore , which will create employment for around 120 people.

MGM Resorts Pvt. Ltd. (Hyatt Regency) is coming up at Puri with an investment of Rs 170 Crore and to give employment to 180 people.

Along with MGM Mineral Group’s 2 projects,  Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday inaugurated 9 Industrial projects and performed a ground-breaking ceremony of 23 Industrial Units.

These projects with a total investment of Rs 6,992.94 Crore and employment potential of 24,508 are spread over 14 districts i.e., Bolangir, Boudh, Cuttack, Ganjam, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Khurda, Puri, Rayagada, Sambalpur, Subarnapur & Sundergarh.

CM expressed pleasure on expansion of Odisha’s industrial portfolio with inclusion of new age and employment-intensive sectors. CM said continuous improvement in the Ease of Doing Business ranking of Odisha, coupled with a business-friendly environment, world-class industrial infrastructure, and highly sought-after skill development initiatives, has been instrumental in attracting investments to Odisha.
