BHUBANESWAR: In view of the upcoming general elections 2024 in the state, an important meeting regarding the mobilization of the central armed forces and the state armed forces has been held today at Lok Seva Bhavan.
A detailed discussion has been held in the meeting regarding police recruitment in view of the requirements in the districts. From EVM commissioning to tight security arrangements in the strong room and the police administration taking all measures to ensure that elections are held peacefully on polling days, it was discussed in the meeting.
Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena, State Home Department Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Deoranjan Kumar Singh, State Chief Electoral Officer Nikunj Bihari Dhal, Additional Election Officer Dr N Thirumala Naik, State Director General of Police Arun Kumar Sarangi and other senior officers of the State Police Administration were present and participated in the discussion.
