BHUBANESWAR: The first phase of the election was completed in Odisha yesterday. Odisha Police has been caught in the hands of BJD with unruly behaviour. The BJD goons attacked the BJP leaders and candidates with fists, sticks, swords and deadly weapons, but the police did not take any action. MLA candidates were attacked in 2 places but police did not take any action.
The biggest thing is that the police seized lakhs of rupees in cash from Biju Janata Dal spokesperson Aparbha Aparupa Das and this incident was broadcasted in various media. But after some time, the police interrogated Biju Janata Party spokesperson Aparbha Aparupa Das and said that the money was seized from different people.
It is clear from this that the police of Odisha are fully armed with BJD. BJP State Vice President Shri Golak Mohapatra asked why the Odisha Police is not giving an opportunity to hold free, fair and impartial elections.
Similarly, while the elections were going on in Chikiti, Berhampur, BJD workers roamed the streets with deadly weapons but the police acted as if they did not see them. State Chief Electoral Officer should ask the Director General of Police for an explanation as to why the police released Biju Janata Dal leader and Spokesperson Apurva Aparupa Das and showed the name of another person. The person from whom the cash was seized should be arrested immediately. If the CEO does not investigate the incident, the BJP will take the matter to the ECI, Mr. Mohapatra said.
Similarly, Health Visitor Damayanti Das, Bhadrak District Chandbali Girls School Hindi Teacher Lopamudra Mallik and Keonjhar District Naranpur CRP Sasmita Naik are also campaigning for the BJD party as government employees. Mr. Mohapatra demanded that immediate action should be taken against them and he should be dismissed from the post.
The party that cannot win commits violence. BJD is doing violence in fear of defeat. People are not in a position to vote for BJD. Biju Babu was working for the people of Odisha but his son is not working for Odisha but for Tamil Nadu.
The people of Odisha are going out to eat. Odia is unemployed. Ordinance caste, religion and culture are in crisis. The orthodox people have already turned away from the BJD party. During the elections, BJD is distributing money by winning darkly. This time, the BJD government is going out of power and the BJP government is coming to power,” Mr. Mohapatra said.
A delegation of BJP led by state vice-president Shri Golak Mohapatra met the chief election officer of the state with facts and evidence today and demanded to take exemplary action on the issue of violation of the rules of conduct of open elections of the ruling BJD. Mr. Mohapatra demanded that the Chief Electoral Officer of the state should investigate the matter and take strict steps to make the general election arbitrary and impartial.
