BHUBANESWAR: In order to maintain cleanliness in the Nuapada by-election and to ensure a free, fair and peaceful environment for the voters, the Chief Electoral Officer, Odisha, Shri R.S. Gopalan (V.P.S.), Additional Chief Electoral Officer and Special Secretary Shri Sushant Kumar Mishra, Additional Secretary Shri Pramod Sahu and Deputy Chief Electoral Officer Dr. Laxmi Prasad Sahu, are briefing the media in detail regarding the important instructions issued regarding the silence period, which is generally known as the silence period, during the 48 hours preceding the close of polling.
The Chief Electoral Officer Shri Gopalan briefed the media about the instructions regarding the silence period and answered various queries of the media persons related to the Nuapada election.
