BHUBANESWAR: As many as 4 IPS officers of Odisha cadre, including 3, who were on Central deputation, got new assignments in Union Home Ministry.
As per the notification, 1989 batch AM Prasad has been posted as ADGP(ITBP) followed by 1998 batch Dayal Gangwar is new IG(CISF) and 2000 batch Prateek Mohanty is new IG(CISF).
It may be noted here that AM Prasad , who hails from Bihar, was Joint Director CBI posted at New Delhi while Prateek Mohanty, who hails from Odisha was DIG(CISF) posted at Rourkela and Gangwar, who hails from Uttar Pradesh was with CISF at NCR Zonal Headquaters.
Another Odisha cadre IPS officer of 1995 batch P S Ranpise, hails from Maharashtra, who is Additional DG(Vigilance) has been appointed as the IG of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Central deputation basis.
