BHUBANESWAR: With COVID-19 cases on rise and State engaged in relief and restoration works, the Odisha State Cabinet was on Thursday decided to extend the lockdown period till April 30.
“Odisha Cabinet headed by CM @Naveen_Odisha decided to extend the state lockdown till April 30th & recommended Union Government to extend the national lockdown till then. CM requested the GoI not to start train & air services during the lockdown,” the CMO twitted.
The Odisha CM said: “In view of the situation arising out of COVID-19, the state government today decided to extend the lockdown period till April 30.”The state cabinet has also given a proposal to Centre for extension of 21-day nationwide lockdown till April 30 to tackle the spread of COVID-19 in the country, he added.
