BHUBANESWAR: Odisha BJP leaders led by President Samir Mohanty and Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi on Monday morning visited Satya Nagar residence and paid their last respect to eminent singer Padma Shri Prafulla Kar.
BJP leaders Jagannatha Pradhan, Babu Singh and others were among those present.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has directed Ministers Pratap Jena, Samir Ranjan Das and State Planning Board Deputy Chairman Sanjay Das Burma to present during the funeral ceremony of Kar at Puri’s Swargadwar with full state honour.
Odisha’s legendary musician Prafulla Kar passed away, today. He was 83. The veteran singer was suffering from age-related ailments. Kar breathed his last at his residence at Satya Nagar in the city at around 10 pm, family sources said.
