Odisha assigned Six IAS Officers to manage cyclone Dana

BHUBANESWAR: Six IAS Officers to manage impending cyclone Dana. These young IAS officers had served as collectors in the assigned districts in the past and had successfully managed natural disaster.   Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) has issued an order in this regard.

As per the order, Tourism Secretary Balwant Singh would look after Puri district while Vineet Bhardwaj, Yamini Sarangi and Samarth Verma have been given the responsibilities of Mayurbhanj, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapara districts, respectively.

Director, Minor Minerals, K Sudarshan Chakarvarthy has been appointed to supervise rescue and relief operations in Balasore district while IAS Officer Trilochan Majhi would look after the cyclone management in Bhadrak district.
