CUTTACK/BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Cricket Association will host 1st Bhairab Chandra Mahanti Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament -2023 from September 15 to 22 at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack.
OCA Vice President Pankaj Lochan Mohanty and OCA Secretary Sanjay Behera informed about this on Friday at a press meet in Cuttack.
As many as 7 team from 6 States including Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Hyderabad, Jharkhand, Assam , and Odisha are expected to join the Tournament. 2 Teams from Odisha will join the Tournament.
‘It was indeed a good initiative, Odisha needs this kind of tournament so that players can get the actual test before domestic tournament starts and good for all participating teams also,’ said a Cricket lover.
15 matches will be played and will be live telecasted. Champion team will be given cash award of Rs 10 Lakh and Runners Up will get Rs 5 Lakh. Player of the match will get Rs 10,000 while player of the Tournament will get Rs 50,000, OCA Vice President Pankaj Lochan Mohanty informed.
OCA Chief Executive Officer Subrata Behera, Treasurer Bikash Pradhan, Apex Council member Pratap Chandra Pradhan and others were among those present.
