TALCHER-KANIHA:National Unity Day or Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was observed at NTPC Talcher Kaniha on 31st October, 2016.The day was celebrated to commemorate the 141st birth anniversary of Late Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel & to pay tribute for his great efforts to make unite India.
As part of the observance of National Unity day / Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, A Run for Unity programme was organised at the power station which was participated by Executive Director,N.K.Kothari, Senior officials, employees, school children and teachers. The participants took a walk from DAV school to Mahanadi Club campus.
A pledge taking ceremony was held at Conference Hall of the power station during which CMD, NTPC Limited took the pledge on Rashtriya Ekta Diwas via video conference. Employees of the station took part in large numbers during the pledge taking ceremony.
Later in the day CISF personnel conducted a March Past from CISF barrage to PTS Market complex to show solidarity for the great patriot of the country Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
