TALCHER/KANIHA:Volley Ball tournament was organised by Sports Council under CSR initiative of NTPC Kaniha. 325 players participated from 25 village teams from Kaniha block participated in the tournament. L D Sahoo, GM(O&M),NTPC Kaniha graced the event as the Chief Guest of the tournament.
The tournament was won by Takua team by 2-0 game points whereas the Samal team was the runners- up. Volley Balls and nets were given to all the teams as memento. Winners and Runners up were given trophies along with prize money by Shri L D Sahoo, GM(O&M) in presence of Shri Susant Ghosh, GM(Operation),Shri N S RAO, GM(TS) ,employees ,volunteers & representatives of Union & Association.
In order to promote volley game, NTPC Sports Council Kaniha will arrange coaching camps on volley ball by NIS coach in three villages (i.e. rangabeda,takua & brahmanadei) for 10 days in each village, informed Amit Kumar Behera, Deputy Manager(PR), NTPC Talcher Kaniha.
