TALCHER/KANIHA:NTPC Talcher Kaniha under its CSR initiative distributed Water filters among the children of nearby schools. This initiative intends to promote the accessibility of safe drinking water among the school children.
Debasis Sarkar ,Group General Manager ,Talcher Kaniha distributed the water filters among the school children of three schools namely Bijigol Nodal UP School ,Gadasila UP School & Tolakbeda UP school of Kaniha block.NTPC Kaniha distributed 458 water filters under this education initiative.
Speaking on this occasion, Shri Sarkar expressed his happiness to be part of the noble initiative, he stressed upon the importance of education and physical fitness in life. While distributing the water filters emphasized the importance of clean water for a healthy and hygiene lifestyle.
He spoke on the importance of safe and clean drinking water and how it keeps us free from many water borne diseases. He encouraged the children to study hard to become successful in life and spoke of many eminent persons who have studied in village schools and later went to become famous and brought name and fame to their village.
Interacting with the school headmaster and teachers ,he said NTPC Kaniha will always come forward to provide necessary assistance for the development of school children in the field of education in form of books distribution , infrastructure development etc, informed Amit Kumar Behera, Deputy Manager(PR).
