NTPC Swayamsiddha Ladies Club celebrates Hariyali Teej Festival

RANCHI:  Swayamsiddha Ladies Club, NTPC Coal Mining HQ organised the Hariyali Teej Festival with pomp and gaiety on Sunday at Ranchi.

The Teej program began with the welcoming of Chief Guest ,Smt Meenkashi Srivastava, Senior Member ,Sanyukta Mahila Samiti by Smt Rekha Jain ,President ,Swayamsiddha Ladies Club in the august presence of Presidents , Ladies Club of Coal Mining Project ,Hazaribag &  senior committee executive members of the club.

On the occasion, Smt Meenkashi  Srivastava addressing the august gathering shared the significance of the Teej Festival and appreciated the efforts of club members for organising the colourful event. She conveyed good wishes on Teej Festival and said that ladies should find some time for themselves to refresh themselves from the day to day busy schedule and such programs are necessary for social interaction.

Smt Rekha Jain in her address said that Teej is an important festival celebrated during the Rainy season in the country with a lot of enthusiasm and it is dedicated to  Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.

To celebrate Teej Festival in a festive flavour, various competition were conducted for the Ladies Club members.In addition, Teej Queen Competition was organised for the members, the winners were selected through three rounds e,g Self -Introduction, Ramp Walk and Question and Answer round by the Judges.

In the Teej queen competition, Smt Sunita Pandey was crowned as Teej Queen and Smt Soni Thakur was the first runner-up and Smt Sugandh was declared the second runner-up.

Cultural Program added attraction during the Teej program which was participated by all members to make the event a grand success.

On the occasion, Vice Presidents, Smt Shika Rastogi and Smt  Purnima Shrikhande ,Smt Deepa,General Secretary , Joint Secretary ,Smt Parmeshwari, Cultural Secretary ,Smt Anita Prasad,Smt  Mansa Verma,Welfare Secretary. Smt Snigdha Majhi ,Treasurer and other members were present on the occasion.
