RANCHI/BHUBANESWAR: Employees Welfare Association (EWA) of NTPC Coal Mining Headquarters in Ranchi in Jharkhand in view of the festive mood of Diwali around the corner organized Diwali Celebration.
On the occasion Sariputta Mishra, Head of the Mining, CMHQ initiated the celebration by lighting the lamps in presence of senior officials. Addressing the gathering, he conveyed good wishes for the light of the festival of the lamps “Diwali”. He appreciated the employees for compliance with the health advisories issued from time to time for COVID prevention and expected that care shall be taken during the upcoming Diwali Celebration to keep safe and healthy.
Appreciating EWA, Mishra said, despite COVID restrictions and challenges, EWA has played a vital role in keeping our family members engaged in organizing various colorful events through online mode. The recent organization of NTPC Raising Day was the testimony of the same, which saw large participation by employee’s Children.
On the occasion, Malancha Mathew, Head of HR S Mitra ,GM(SSC -C&M) and R C Debnath ,AGM(Finance) employees, and supporting staff were present Sunil Kumar Kamal ,General Secretary ,EWA gave the welcome address and conveyed thanks to members for their continuous support. Anand Kumar Jha ,Executive Members provided valuable assistance in the organization of the event. In the end, participants of the program joined in the mass lighting of lamps to celebrate Diwali, informed, Senior Manager(PR-CC), Amit Kumar Behera.
