RANCHI/BHUBANESWAR: Swayamsiddha Ladies Club, Coal Mining HQ organised Welcome program for Smt Illora Ghosh Mondol through virtual mode and also celebrated Teej Festival. The program started with NTPC Geet followed by Smt Mahua Mazumder, President, Swayamsiddha ladies club delivering the welcome speech.
On this august occasion, all Presidents of Ladies club of Coal Mining Projects welcomed the Chief Guest, Smt Illora Ghosh Mondol and introduced their core committee group members. President, Prerana Ladies club of Dulanga Coal mining project, Odisha inaugurated its ladies club logo
Addressing the august gathering, Smt Mondol encouraged the participants for participating in the program. She said ladies have limited opportunity to express themselves, such platforms are good for expressing themselves and showcase inherited talent and will make them ready for future leadership roles in life.
The program has become lively with wholehearted participation by members even though the event was conducted digitally. To celebrate Teej Festival in a festive flavour, Mehendi competition and Teej queen competition were organised.
In the Teej queen competition, Smt Mansa Verma was crowned as Teej Queen and Smt Gangotri Das and Smt B. Vaishali both were adjudged as first runners up.
Smt Mahua Mazumder, President in her closing ceremony address said that the event was colourful with the participants of ladies and members from all coal mining projects joining the program virtually. She extended her gratitude to all members who have actively involved directly or indirectly for the successful organisation of the program.
Vote of thanks was given by Smt Archana Mukerjee,Vice President of Ladies Club. The Teej program was co-hosted by Smt Soan Gauri Dutta,Secreraty and Smt Reshma Behera,Cultral Secretary. Finally, the event was concluded with a salutation to our National Anthem.
