RANCHI/BHUBANESWAR: International Women’s Day is being celebrated in many NTPC stations. As a part of celebration, Coal Mining Headquarters organised a Workshop through MS Team online for all members of Swayamsiddha Ladies Club. The faculty for the workshop was Arunima Patra, Former HR practitioner & advisor of IBM India Pvt Ltd.
The workshop was organised under the leadership and guidance of Shikha Kashyap, President, Swayamsiddha Ladies Club, CMHQ. She in her address conveyed good wishes to members on Women’s Day and emphasized on organisation of such programs.Smt Malancha Mathew, GM(HR),CMHQ in her address opined that Women’s Day should be practiced every day in letter and spirit.
The workshop was made interesting with anecdotes from Indian mythology. The workshop was also attended by B. Vaishali, Saongouri Dutta, Aparna Asthana, Sandhya Das, Reshma Behera, Shewta Shayad,Archita Mishra, Prativa K. and other members. At the end of the program Vote of Thanks was delivered by Archana Mukherjee, AGM(IT).Celebration of International Women’s Day has it’s origin in the marching of 15000 women in New York in 1908 demanding shorter working hours, better pay and voting rights.
