RANCHI/BHUBANESWAR: NTPC Dulanga Coal Mining Project has distributed Land records (Pattas) to displaced villagers today at the Community Hall of Majhapada, R&R Colony constructed for the displaced villagers.
On the occasion Collector and District Magistrate of Sundargarh, Nikhil Pavan Kalyan ( IAS), has inaugurated the Community Centre of Majhapada in the august presence of displaced villagers.
After inauguration, Collector & DM Nikhil Pavan Kalyan has distributed Patta to the displaced villagers in the presence of Partha Mazumder, Regional Executive Director(Coal Mining) NTPC Coal Mining Headquarters, Ranchi, Shri C. R. Barik, Head of Project, Dulanga Coal Mining Project, Shri Abhimanyu Behera, Sub Collector, Sundargarh and Shri S.K.Ray, GM (Project) ,NTPC Dulanga.
During the meeting Collector and District Magistrate, Sundargarh appreciated the initiatives taken by NTPC Dulanga to improve upon the life standard of the displaced villagers in R&R Colony. He has also appreciated RED(Coal Mining) to be a part of the program and his concern for the stakeholders. RED(Coal Mining), Shri Mazumder during his address to the gathering expressed his happiness on the development of this Dulanga coal mine and especially its R&R Colony. He told that Dulanga mine would be a model Mine under the fleet of NTPC Mines.
In order to provide Banking facility to the displaced villagers in R&R Colony, NTPC- Dulanga CMP has facilitated the opening of ICICI Bank in the R&R Colony. Under this provision one ATM of ICICI bank has been installed in the Market Complex at R&R Colony and was inaugurated by the Collector and District Magistrate of Sundargarh.
To commemorate the series of events, Plantation Program has been organized inside the complex of Majhapada Community Centre. All the dignitaries present at the venue have planted saplings to make the event special.
