RANCHI/BHUBANESWAR: World Environment Day was celebrated at NTPC Coal Mining Headquarters, Ranchi with mass fruit bearing saplings at the new campus of Yogadha Satsang Mahavidyalaya, Ranchi.
On the occasion, Shri MVR Reddy, Regional Executive Director (Coal Mining) administered the environment pledge to the august gathering present on the occasion.
Later Shri Reddy as part of commitment to environment protection and conservation-initiated fruit bearing sapling plantation which was followed by other dignitaries. This year’s theme was #beatplasticpollution.
On the special occasion,Shri Abhijeet Ghosh,Secretary ,Shri Shyam Pandey, Principal, Yogadha Satsang Mahavidyalaya,Smt Padma Reddy, President, Swayamsiddha Ladies Club(SLC),Shri TK Konar ,GM( Technical Services),Shri Srinivas K Murty ,GM(HR ),Shri Aprubha Ghosh ,AGM( Engineering) ,Smt Lakshmi Murthy,Vice President,SLC ,Shri Rajesh ,Sr Mgr (EMG) ,Shri Amit Kumar Behera,Sr Manager ( Corporate Communication) ,school staff ,students and other dignitaries were present.
In addition, Swayamsiddha Ladies Club,NTPC Coal Mining HQ distributed saplings to Asha Home orphanage residents to encourage plantation among the general public. The distribution was done under the guidance of Smt Padma Reddy, President, Swayamsiddha Ladies Club. The program was participated by committee members of Ladies Club. Senior members of the club planted saplings at the campus to encourage plantation on the special day dedicated to the environment.
