RANCHI/BHUBANESWAR: In line with communication from the Ministry of Power, NTPC Coal Mining HQ, Ranchi organised a program today on Swachhta Pakhwada 2022 at Yogada Girls School and Marwari Govt Girls School.
The objective of the celebration of the ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ fortnight, as a part of the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’, is to take up sanitation initiatives, and reinforce the mass movement for cleanliness to contribute to Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of a Clean India.
In sync with the above objective, a health kit consisting of a set of sanitary napkins, soaps, Dettol, liquid soap, and wiper cloth was distributed to around 40 girl students of each school by the Swayamsiddha Ladies Club. Besides, the schools were also provided with cleanliness items like brooms, bleaching powder, phenyl, washing powder, wiper etc.
Smt Mahua Mazumder, President, Swayamsiddha Ladies Club, NTPC Coal Mining HQ addressed the school children and envisaged the importance of cleanliness, hygiene, regular hand washing and the use of non-plastic eco-friendly bags.
Senior Committee members like Mrs. Sanchita Konar, Vice President, Mrs Smitha Wilson, Treasurer, Mrs Saongouri Dutta, General Secretary, Mrs Reshma Behera, Mrs Apurva Dwivedi, Mrs Vishalakshmi and Mrs Mansa Verma were also present on the occasion.
Mr D.R. Singh, Secretary, Mr Harsh and Mrs Aparna Sinha, Principal were present in the Swachhta program in Yogada Girls School. Mr Ashish Kumar, Principal was present in the Swachhta program in Marwari Govt Girls School.The initiative by Swayamsiddha Ladies Club, NTPC Coal Mining was highly appreciated by all.
