BHUBANESWAR/LONDON/CANBERRA: Women are entitled of equal right, honour and treatment in the Society, opined distinguished dignitaries. Participating in the Second Shakti Utsav, hosted by International Indecency Prevention Movement (IIPM) in association with World Odisha Society (WOS) to celebrate International Women’s Day, the Honourable Guests emphasised that women are discharging their roles, duties and responsibilities for the growth of community and Nation very competently and earning acclaimation all over the World for their exemplary services. Organised both in physical and virtual manner, the celebration was attended by hundreds of eminent women leaders, prominent non – resident Odias from different countries, members of IIPM and WOS across the Globe and students, staffs and teachers of physical venue Sovaniya Sikhyashram at Bidanasi in Cuttack.
Befitting to the Occasion the meeting Place was aesthetically decorated with hues of colourful cottons and flowers. The invited Guests offered flowers at the portrait of the Founder of IIPM venerable Kumar Bhai placed on the stage and lighted the ceremonial lamp at the outset of the meeting.
Delivering his welcome address Chairman of World Odisha Society Kishore Dwibedi, observed that since women are the creator of the mankind, they are supposed to be worshipped. The Director of IIPM and Founder of WOS Dr Arundhati Debi underlined that Mother’s power all over the World should be acknowledged with dignity for the establishment of a safe, sound and sober Society. The President of Women’s Wing of WOS Dr Sunanda Mishra Panda described that Women in Indian culture have been put in high esteem since vedic ages.
The General Secretary of Women’s Wing of WOS Dr Chidatmika Khatua asserted that Women have been excelling in all professions and earning laurels for their achievements. Guest of Honour Deputy Collector of Bolangir Subhasmita Mishra said Women are the epitome of mercy, forgiveness and gratitude and the best creator of GOD. Since men and women are complementary to each other proper balance approach has to be drawn between masculine and feminine power for the judicious development of the Society, Ms Mishra added. Renowned Odissi exponent from Italy Ileana Citaristi, described Mother as the ultimate in power structure. Writer Kavita Gupta argued in favour of equal treatment and ample empowerment of women. Spiritual Guru from Indonesia Augus Indra Udayana recited some couplets in Indonesian language on universal happiness.
Senior Member IIPM Dr Banalata Debi stressed on the imbibement of moral values and self reliance among Debasishus. Lecturer Jyotirmayee Mohanty wanted the unfolding and utilisations of the inherent power within the women.

The students of Sovaniya Sikhyashram presented number of scintillating dance performances in the tune of Invocatory songs with Ananya Dev and Gungun as the lead. Noted singer Anindita Das enthralled the audiences with her soul soothing numbers. Dr Bhagyashree Singh from London conducted the proceedings smoothly. Priyaranjan Mohanty and Nandan Dwibedi ably managed the digital control room.
