Normalcy Restored at Rungta Mines Ltd Steel Plant in Dhenkanal after Management announces Rs 20 Lakh Compensation for each Deceased workers

DHENKANAL/BHUBANESWAR:   Complete normalcy restored at Rungta Mines Ltd Steel Plant in Dhenkanal in Odisha after the Company management agreed to provide a compensation of Rs 20 Lakhs each to the deceased workers , who identified at Vivekananda Sahu (37) and Bishnu Manji(42), both hails from West Bengal’s Howrah district.

Rungta Mines Ltd management which known for its labour and worker friendly policies, have agreed to provide free treatment to all injured and the company will pay their salaries during their treatment period.

On Monday,   2 workers were killed while 7 got injured after a mechanical structure iron plate fell on them at Rungta Steel Plant in Odisha’s Dhenkanal.

The mishap took place at Rungta Mines Ltd Dhenkanal Steel Plant located at Jhadabandha in Dhenkanal district. Soon after the incident, a rescue operation was launched.The injured staffs were undergoing treatment.

Company management have assured to take precautionary measures in a more systematic manner to avoid such incidents in future.
