No Respite to Heat Wave in Odisha , Capital City Boils

BHUBANESWAR: The Indian Meteorological Department’s (IMD) Regional Centre here has issued alert for the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Angul, Sonepur, Boudh and Bolangir .

According to the IMD’s latest bulletin, “Heat wave condition very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Angul, Sonepur, Boudh and Bolangir.”

“Light rain/ thunderstorm very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Jajpur, Bhadrak and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha,” it added.

Temperature Forecast: No large change in maximum temperature (day temperature) during the next 4-5 days over the districts of Odisha. Maximum temperature is likely to be above normal by 3 to 5°C at many places over the districts of interior Odisha and likely to be above normal by 2 to 3°C at a few places over the districts of coastal Odisha.
