NML sponsors Project Affected Youths for Skill Development training at CIPET in Ranchi

RANCHI: Skill development plays an important part in self-reliance and empowerment. NTPC Mining Limited (NML), Ranchi has taken up the initiative under its CSR to sponsor 80 project affected youths including 25 girls from all coal mining projects & its vicinity located in the States of Jharkhand, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh for skill development in association with Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET), Ranchi.

During the training, CIPET will provide job-oriented skill development training to the youths in two courses i.e Machine Operator – Plastic Processing & Machine Operator – Injection Moulding.

To encourage the rural students cum Project Affected Persons (PAPs) from NTPC Coal Mining projects, Shri Rajnish Rastogi, Chief General Manager (HR) on June 5,2024 in the august presence of Shri Pravin Bachhav, Joint Director & Head, CIPET, Ranchi held an interaction with students enrolled for the skill development training on plastic technology courses for period of 6 months at CIPET,Ranchi.

During the interaction Shri Rastogi took the feedback from the students regarding the experience on the education and facilities provided at CIPET. Speaking to the students, Shri Rastogi shared that CIPET is a reputed institute in the field of plastic engineering, which will provide a better opportunity to learn and develop skills and will facilitate employment.

At present 1st Batch of Machine Operator – Plastic Processing course has started on March 20,2024 in which 40 students from NTPC Coal Mining Projects i.e Pakri Barwadih , Chatti Bariattu,Kerendari ,Badam,Banardih, Dulanga & Talaipalli coal projects taking part.
