BHUBANESWAR:  Visiting Chief Minister Naveen Patanik of eastern Indian State of Odisha, on Tuesday met Eiji Hashimoto; President of Nippon Steel during Odisha  Investors Meet in Tokyo in Japan and discussed about company’s plan to build one of the world’s largest steel plants in Odisha along with Laxmi Mittal led Arcellor Mittal.

. The 30MT plant will produce speciality steel. Chief Minister Patnaik has assured complete support to the proposed mega plant which will give huge boost to socio-economic development of Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Kendujhar and generate thousands of jobs for youths of Odisha.

 “I invite you and your team to visit to Odisha whenever convenient feel, your plant will help large number in people,’ CM Patnaik said to President of Nippon Steel Corporation.

President of Nippon Steel Corporation said,” we have sole intention to build the largest and biggest steel plant in Odisha. First 30 Million tonnes capacity, now it will go up,’.

Chief Secretary PK Jena, 5T Secretary VK Pandian and Industry Secretary Hemant Sharma were among those present during the discussion.
