BHUBANESWAR: Nikhila Odisha Contractors’ Association lodged FIR against former Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik at Mancheswar Police Station in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
Contractors’ Association lodged FIR against former CM Patnaik, former Ministers Niranjan Pujari, Pratap Jena, Susanta Singh, and Raghunandan Das, Prafulla Mallik and present secretary of Works Department Vir Vikram Yadav.
The Association alleged that even though the previous government of BJD had assured the association to fulfill their 10 point charter of demands in 2019, no demands were met due to which the state contractors had to incur huge losses.
Association alleged that due to non Odia contractors , Odia contractors not getting work while some are facing tough time.
Association President Pravat Das alleged that former CM Patnaik always paid attention to non Odia contractors while Odia contractors left with empty hand.
55,000 registered contractors in Odisha while 15,000 from other States , total 70,000 contractors working in the State.
