BHUBANESWAR: Nihar Ranjan Sarkar, Junior Engineer,Malkangiri Block, in Malkangiri was arrested by Odisha Vigilance and sent to jail in DA case.
DA of 444% including a triple storey palatial building(7900 sqft), 8 Plots,Cash Rs.2.11 Lakhs,1 Four wheeler, etc. unearthed.
On 26.12.2025, on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets( DA) by Sri Nihar Ranjan Sarkar, Junior Engineer, Malkangiri Block,simultaneous house searches were being conducted by Odisha Vigilance led by 4 DSPs, 7 Inspectors, and other supporting staff on the strength of search warrants issued by Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore at his following 4 places in Malkangiri and Nabarangpur districts.
(1) Residential Triple storeyed Building at Jayanagar, Malkangiri Town.
(2) Paternal house at MPV-10, PS- Kalimela, Dist. Malkangiri
(3) House of his relative at Raighar, Dist. Nabarangpur
(4) His office chamber in the office of BDO, Malkangiri.
