BHUBANESWAR: However, the IMD said night temperature is expected to rise by 2 to 3 degree Celsius due to a slight increase in the influence of sea winds. “There is no change of significant change in minimum temperature in the next two days. Thereafter, there will be gradual increase in the temperature by 2 to 3 degree Celsius in many places. In the next two days, there will be fog in the morning hours in isolated pockets of some districts in the next two days,” the weather office said.
The cold wave conditions continued to sweep the State with as many as nine places recording minimum temperatures below 10 degree Celsius on Wednesday night.
G Udaygiri was the coldest with the mercury plummeting to 6.4 degree followed by Similigida at 7, Kirei and Sundargarh 8 each, Keonjhar 8.8, Jharsuguda 9.6 and Daringbadi and Koraput 10, the Regional Office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here said on Wednesday.
The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 15.9 degree and 15.2 degree, respectively.
