BHUBANESWAR:The Institute of Medical Sciences and Some Hospital, Bhubaneswar, run by Education and Research (EOR), celebrated the New Year on the hospital premises on Thursday.
The event, organized by the IMS & Sum Hospital family, was celebrated under the supervision of the Dean of the institution, Professor (Dr.) Sanghamita Mishra. While wishing the Happy New Year, Professor (Dr.) Mishra expressed his gratitude to all the department heads, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, housekeeping staff, and other employees of the hospital for the success achieved by IMS & Sum Hospital in the year 2025.

On this occasion, Professor Mishra expressed his gratitude to Professor (Dr.) Manojranjan Nayak, the founding president of SOAR, for his support and contributions, which have enabled IMS & Sam Hospital to reach the top.
At the event, Hospital Medical Superintendent Professor (Dr.) Pushparaj Samantasinghar extended his greetings to all the department heads, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, housekeeping staff and other working staff of the hospital on the occasion of the English New Year. IMS & Sam Hospital has been ranked as the 15th best medical educational institution in the country in the NIRF Ranking 2025.
The Medical Superintendent called upon everyone to be committed to health care, trust, putting a smile on the faces of patients, providing services with enthusiasm and being diligent in their responsibilities.
Similarly, Emeritus Professor Biswanarayan Mohanty of the hospital’s Department of Surgery joined in and said that IMS & Sum Hospital is the first choice of students from the country and abroad for medical education.
On this occasion, Mrs. Minti Mishra, Nursing Superintendent of IMS & Sum Hospital, extended New Year greetings and delivered a speech on the main objective of the program.
On this occasion, a cultural program was organized by the hospital, and Assistant Professor (Dr.) Smt. Madhusikta, Department of Community Medicine, delivered the welcome speech and vote of thanks.
