BHUBANESWAR: Odisha DGP Abhay on Wednesday wished new Police Commissioner for Twin cities of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, S Priyadarshi for his new posting.
Hailing the 1995 batch IPS officer, Priyadarshi as highly professional and committed, DGP Abhay hoped that the new Police Commissioner will live to the expectations of the people.
“Saumendra K Priyadarshi beings decades of experience, commitment and high professional competence to this prestigious assignment. We look forward to his leadership .All the best,” DGP, Odisha tweeted @DGPOdisha.
The new Police Commissioner said, “Maintaining law and order situation and crime detection and control are the two main objectives of every police officer. And challenge increases when you become a successor of a successful officer. I seek your cooperation during my service.”
Outgoing Police Commissioner Sudhanshu Sarangi has been transferred and posted as the CMD of Odisha Police Housing and Welfare Corporation (OPH&WC).Besides, 1988-batch IPS M Akhaya took charge as the DG of Fire Services, CG, Home Guards and Director of Civil Defence, Odisha.
