JHARSUGUDA: Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, who played an important strategic role in paving the way for victory for the party in the Bihar Assembly elections, was accorded a grand and lavish welcome during his visit to Jharsuguda and Sambalpur today. After reaching Jharsuguda Airport, he was warmly welcomed by the workers and the public at various places along the road from there to Sambalpur.

Hundreds of activists, supporters and well-wishers gathered in both the cities to welcome the Union Minister. There was also great enthusiasm among the local people. The entire region vibrated to the tune of traditional Sambalpuri instruments and music at various places.

Addressing the people, Shri Pradhan described the victory of NDA in the Bihar elections as ‘victory of people’s power’. He said, people’s power has given BJP new hope and hope for development. For many years, the rule of BJP and NDA in Bihar has been a service. For the past eleven and a half years, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has been in charge of the country and this trend of development has been possible only under his leadership.

He criticized the Congress party and said that after repeated defeats, Congress used to make false statements like ‘vote theft’. But the people of Bihar took the right decision this time and reposed faith and trust in Prime Minister Modi. Those who wanted to weaken the country and were saying things like giving priority to Bangladeshis in the country, the people of Bihar have given them a befitting reply in this election.

During this visit, Shri Pradhan paid homage to the statue of Veer Surendra Sai, the son of the soil, at Khinda this morning by garlanding it. He also visited the presiding deity of Sambalpur, Maa Samaleswari, and the Maa Tarini temple at Thelkoloi and sought her blessings.
