NCC cadets and NSS volunteers of SOA reached out to the policemen engaged in law and order duty and traffic control in Bhubaneswar

BHUBANESWAR:   NCC cadets and NSS volunteers of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University (SOA) on Tuesday reached out to the policemen engaged in law and order duty and traffic control in Bhubaneswar city in the scorching heat with ORS packets and water bottles.

The students of Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), faculty of engineering and technology of SOA, distributed around 5,000 ORS packets and 2,000 water bottles on the first day, Director of ITER Prof. Manas Kumar Mallick said.

This assistance will be extended to all cops under the Commissionerate Police deployed in all traffic intersections of the city, he said.

The distribution was made in the presence of the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Sanjeeb Panda and Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr. Prateek Singh. Mr. Panda praised such endeavour by SOA University to provide relief to the policemen working in grueling weather conditions.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Mr. P.K. Rout and Associate NCC Officer of SOA Dr. Satish Kumar Samal were present.
