Gist of Case:
The daughter of accused Mamata Das namely Laxmi Das is already married and she has a male child. Due to their disturbance in conjugal life she has been staying separately with her mother at Rental Colony, IRC Village Nayapalli.
The accused persons Mamata Das and others told the complaint and her son to solemnise the marriage of her daughter Laxmi Das with the son of complaint by concealing that, her daughter is already married and she has a male child.
The marriage was proposed to be held on 23.03.2025 and the ring ceremony was organised on 21.03.2025 in hotel a at BBSR. During the ring ceremony as per the tradition and customs of groom side they had given cash and gold/silver ornaments to the bride Laxmi Das in presence of family members.
On 23.03.2025 when the complaint came to know the fact that the daughter of Mamata Das was already married and she has a male child they denied the marriage proposal and asked Mamata Das to return the cash of Rs.50,000/- and gold/silver omaments cost Rs.3,50,000/-. But the accused Mamata Das and others threatened them and denied to return the money and the ornaments. The accused Mamata Das and others dishonesty cheated the complt. and her son concealing that fact and did not return the cash and ornaments, threatened for dire consequences.
During investigation, the above noted two accused persons have been arrested in this case and forwarded to the Hon’ble Court today.
Further investigation is going on.
